My first Combo map

Ok ... I'd wondered how to do this ... it turns out it is easy.
I created a new map in google maps and labeled it 'country roads'.
There is an Import link so I tried that.
You get two choices: a file or a URL
I figured I'd try the URL method ...
I  went to my one of my country road maps and copied its URL to the clipboard and then notepad.
Went  back to my new map, Edit and them Import.
Fed it the URL that I got from the other map. That didn't work ...
Went back to the map I wanted to import from and thought for a moment.
There was a 'View in Google Earth' link. I clicked on that and Chrome showed me that a file had been download. A 'kml' file ...
I went back to my new, combo, map and fed that file into the Import from file option.
It worked. Sort of.
The path is there ... lots of points. If I click on it the popup comes up and I can see the YouTube video in it but ... the window is too small :(
And the popup edit mode is Rich Text .. I switched it to HTML ... not much I an do right now. Hope it works ...
